What is pmay-u

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U), a flagship Mission of Government of India being implemented by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), was launched on 25th June 2015.

 The government had launched the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana ( Urban ) on June 25 , 2015 , to provide pucca houses to all eligible beneficiaries by 2022. The PMAY - U is one of the two schemes envisioned under the PMAY - U .

 • It is focused on the urban areas , while the other one - PMAY - G is for rural areas .

Objectives of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana ( PMAY )

1 - Rehabilitation of those who live in slums . To provide a credit linked subsidy scheme to individuals

2 - Provide accessible homes to economically weaker sections

Features of PMAY-U

Adequate physical and social infrastructure 5 Security of Tenure 4 All - weather housing units Water , Kitchen Electricity and Toilet 1 j2 Bette of life Urbar 

1 women empowerment

The scheme has four verticals :

 • " In - situ " Slum Redevelopment ( ISSR ) ; Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme ( CLSS ) ; • Affordable Housing in Partnership ( AHP ) and ● Beneficiary - led individual house construction / enhancements ( BLC)

Affordable housing scheme under Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme Upfront Interest subsidy from 3 to 6.5 % Beneficiary - Led Individual House Construction or Enhancement Central assistance upto Rs.1.5 lakh per house AFFORDABLE housing in partnership with private or public sect Central assistance @ Rs . 1.5 lakh per EWS house IN - SITU SLUM REDEVELOPMENT using land as a resource Gol grant at 1 lakh per house. 

How many houses have been built ? 

As per information available on the PMAY U , 1.21 crore houses have been sanctioned under the scheme till May 9 2022 , of which 58.82 lakh houses have been completed / delivered . A maximum number of 28.17 lakh houses have been built under the BLC vertical . The remaining 30.65 lakh houses have been built under the other three verticals - ISSR , CLSS and AHP .

How much money has been spent on the PMAY - U ? 

The Centre has committed Rs 2.01 lakh cro for the PMAY - U , of which Rs 1.18 lakh cror has been released and Rs 1.10 lakh cror been spent .

Pradhan mantri awaas yojan eligibility

Households without any adult member between 16 and 59 years of age. Households without any able-bodied members and with a disabled member. Landless households who derive income from casual labour. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Others, and Minorities.

Can we see PMAY status check with adhaar card

You can check status through adhaar card number, follow this steps. 

To check PMAY status with Aadhaar, go to the official site and click on the 'Search Beneficiary' option from the main menu. When you select the option 'Search by the name', you will be asked to enter your Aadhaar number.

How long does it take to get PMAY U subsidy?

It takes between 3-4 months, by If you have applied for the CLSS subsidy, it takes anywhere between 3-4 months to get the subsidy amount, once the verification is complete.

Will we apply PMAY - U Online? 

Yes you can apply pmay-u through official sites pmaymis.gov.in. with mobile also

Beneficiary - led individual house construction / enhancements ( BLC ) Under the BLC vertical ,

 a beneficiary receives a financial assistance of Rs 2.5 lakh from the government to build his or her house . The PMAY - U guidelines define a beneficiary family as a family comprising of " husband , wife and unmarried [ sons and / or unmarried daughters . ] 

 ● • " The beneficiary family should not own a pucca house ( an all - weather dwelling unit ) either in his / her name or in the name of any member of his / her family in any part of India , " state the scheme guidelines .

•• Under the scheme guidelines , an adult earning member ( irrespective of marital status ) can be treated as a separate household . However , to avail the scheme , he or she should not own a pucca house ( an all - weather dwelling unit ) in his / her name in any part of India . Under the PMAY - G , a beneficiary can avail the component for the enhancement of his or her ex g house . However , only persons with a pucca house having a built - up area of less than 21 sq.m are eligib to avail this facility .

What is geotagging ?

● • Geotagging is a process of adding geograp identification to various media like photog Under the PMAY - U guidelines , it is manda the state government to ensure that all hous built under the scheme are geotagged to the Bhuvan HFA ( housing for all ) application , whic has been developed by the governm for this monitoring of the scheme .

What is Bhuvan HFA ? 

● Bhuvan is an Indian Geo Platform developed by the Indian Space Research Organization ( ISRO ) . It is a web application which allows users to access variou related services . The application also provides f geotagging of images of houses built or being c under the PMAY - U .

 The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) has published the IARI Recruitment 2022 Notification for recruitment to the posts of Assistant. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: -

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University. Candidate must specifically indicate the percentage of marks

obtained (calculated to the nearest two decimals) in the relevant column of the application form. Where percentage of marks is not awarded by the University but only CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same shall be converted into percentage in terms of conversion norms of university in this regard, besides indicating the CGPA/OGPA in the application form. Candidates will have to produce the certificate/document issued by the university evidencing conversion formula of university, when called for document verification. Round off %age will not be acceptable under any circumstances for consideration for appointment. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 39.99% will be treated as less than 40%.

i. Preliminary and Mains Examinations (Paper – I) will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The
